My name is Henry B Randall. I currently hold the position of the Director of Abdominal Transplantation at Saint Louis University & Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center.
I recently moved to St. Louis from Kansas City and have been exploring the entrepreneurship space in St. Louis. Thus far I’ve found the environment to be very inviting and collegial.
I am honored to be the leader of the St. Louis Chapter of the Society of Physician Entrepreneurs (SoPE) and invite the local community of entrepreneurs, investors, start ups and Accelerator groups to join me at SoPE. Henry B. Randall, MD, FACS
Chapter Leader
Dr. Randall is the Division Chief, Adult and Pediatric Transplantation, and Associate Professor of Surgery at Saint Louis University. He leads surgical efforts for liver and kidney transplantation, hepatobiliary surgery, and general surgery on transplant patients. He provides pre- and post-operative care for patients with organ failure, awaiting transplantation, including critical care in the intensive care unit.
Prior to Saint Louis University, Dr. Randall held academic appointments at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, the Baylor Regional Transplant Institute, the University of Texas-Southwestern and the University of Louisville. His experience includes directing abdominal transplantation at Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City and the pediatric liver transplant program at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, serving as chief of liver transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery at the University of Louisville, and serving as a clinical instructor for the liver and renal transplant program at the University of California at San Francisco.
He is a member of several professional societies, including the American College of Surgeons (ACS), the American Medical Association (AMA), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the American Society of Transplantation (AST), and the American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS).
Throughout his career, Dr. Randall has lectured nationally and internationally, co-authored countless other chapters, abstracts and books.
Dr. Randall completed his undergraduate studies at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI, earned his medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI and did his post graduate training at the University of California-San Francisco.
