AUSTIN MORRIS, JR.

Executive Committee

Austin Morris Jr. is president of Morris Risk Management LLC an independent, full-service insurance brokerage offering high quality insurance products from top rated market leading insurance companies. MRM also is a specialized risk management firm offering advanced solutions through risk identification and prioritization. MRM serves clients across many different industries, including healthcare, by building reliable relationships and helping them to make good decisions about their needs.

Since 2007, Morris Risk Management LLC been a leader in cyber insurance, technology errors and omissions insurance, multimedia insurance and related coverages often for healthcare businesses. MRM provides advice on cybersecurity matters and routinely participates in regional and national cyber risk and cybersecurity communities.

Austin earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Southern Methodist University. He earned Masters Degrees from The Pennsylvania State University, in University Park, and Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, in New Brunswick. Previously he was an executive vice president for a leading technology company. Austin is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Having served on several boards, Austin recently was the Board Chairman for 6.5 years of Friends of Independence National Historical Park.

RICHARD J. ANTHONY, SR.

Rick Anthony is founder and Managing Director of THEANTHONYGROUPinc, a full service management consulting firm specializing in business advisory services, human resource management and performance improvement. He has over 35 years of experience as a manager and counselor to senior management. He is an accomplished speaker on managing human resources and intellectual capital to accomplish business objectives. His book, Organizations, People & Effective Communication, was published in 2008 by University Readers Press.

He currently serves as EVP of Xverity, Inc., a technology enabled health services company focused on supporting outpatients as they transition from a clinical setting to a home environment.

He has extensive consulting experience with clients in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. Much of his consulting involves diagnostic analysis, coaching, teambuilding and working with groups of managers to establish clarity and priorities around strategic and operational issues. The range of clients has included startups to Fortune 100 companies. For many clients, he has facilitated planning sessions and management retreats.

He is a member of the adjunct faculty at Villanova University where he teaches courses in Organizational and Leadership Communication, Entrepreneurialism and Managing the Intergenerational Workforce. He also co-authored a chapter in a book titled After Sixty: Marketing to Baby Boomers Reaching Their Big Transition Years.

He is a member of several professional groups, including the Council of Communication Managers. He is an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America. He is a founding member of the New Product Development Consortium, Inc., New York; a founder and director of iGrandparents.com, an Internet company dedicated to enriching the lives of the nation’s 73 million grandparents and their grandchildren; founder of The Entrepreneurs Network, a group of successful business people focused on starting, buying or turning around companies. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Radnor Studio 21 and hosts two cable television talk shows, “The Entrepreneurs Network” and “30 Minutes with Rick Anthony.”

Advisory board memberships include GRAND Media, publisher of GRAND Magazine and www.babyboomers.com. He is an emeritus member of the board of Murex Investments, a social venture capital fund. He was also a member the President’s Council of Immaculata University and the advisory board of the Villanova University Entrepreneurship Program.

He has served on the board of directors of the Walnut Street Theatre, the board of trustees of the Presbyterian Medical Center, the Personnel Committee of Pennsylvania Hospital, the board of trustees for the Lay Employees Pension Plan Trust of the Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia, and the board of trustees of St. Francis Country House. He has also served as executive director of the Delaware County Community Foundation.

He is the recipient of the Villanova University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences 2004 Alumni Medallion. He received an AB from Villanova University, did graduate study at St. Joseph’s University and Temple University, and completed a Harvard Management Program.

JEFFREY LEVY, MD

Executive Committee

Dr. Jeffrey Levy is a physician, educator, entrepreneur and an internationally recognized expert in e-learning. He helped organize and launch the SoPE chapter in the Philadelphia region. He is the Founder and CEO of CaseNetwork, a company that provides technology enhanced case-based medical education and clinical decision support. He is also a co-founder and Interim Executive Director for the Institute for Surgical Excellence, a non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to improving surgical care and patient outcomes. Prior to this, Dr. Levy was co-founder, CEO, and Chief Educational Officer of MedCases, which provided online continuing medical education through simulated patient encounters to physicians across the world. Dr. Levy has been in the forefront of innovations in medical education for over 2 decades. Some of his accomplishments include developing one of the first virtual reality surgical simulators – the Virtual Reality Hysteroscope, creating some of the first interactive laser discs and CD-ROMs in medicine, producing some of the most sophisticated 3-D medical/surgical animations, producing the first online case-based education in medicine, and helping develop and validate the Fundamentals of Robotics Surgery curriculum now used internationally by surgeons in many surgical specialties. He has worked with hundreds of experts and dozens of societies to advance medical/surgical education and training and drive new standards in medicine. Through his award winning programs, Dr. Levy has educated over 400,000 physicians globally.

Dr. Levy has also served as the Medical Director of Education and Technology Initiatives for the University of Pennsylvania Health System where his responsibilities included development of computerized physician and patient education systems. His other academic roles have included Associate Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Director of Resident Education and Medical Student Education at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.

Dr. Levy has been course director for over 70 courses, has presented over 200 national and international lectures, has authored numerous abstracts and scientific papers and has developed several patents and inventions. He received his M.D. degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia Medical School and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He had a clinical practice in Obstetrics and Gynecology for fourteen years.
